Different from Motorcycle water cooling radiator and oil-cooling radiator

What kind of cooling method is used for each type of motorcycle, mainly depends on the design factors of the motorcycle. Different heat dissipation methods still have a big gap in performance.

Motorcycle water cooling radiators

The motorcycle water-cooled radiators uses the coolant around the water tank and the cylinder, and the pump is exchanged to achieve cooling of the engine.

Advantages: It can effectively control the temperature of high-power and high-speed engines. When the water-cooled car is low, the throttle valve will be closed until the oil temperature rises to achieve the best lubrication effect. At high temperature, the throttle valve will All the water tanks are turned on to start working. When the temperature is too high, the fan starts to cool down to the optimal working temperature of the engine. This is the standard water cooling working principle.

Disadvantages: high cost, complex structure, high failure rate, because there is a large space for external water tanks.

Motorcycle water-cooing radiators is a better cooling method for cooling. The principle of water cooling is to cool the cylinder liner and cylinder head by flowing water. The basic components of water cooling are water pump, water tank temperature control and fan.

Water cooling raditors is a multi-cylinder high-power high-speed engine necessary cooling system (and water and oil double cooling) small displacement 125 single-cylinder car basically does not need water cooling, generally 125 can not send so much heat. But now the water cooling system is being quantified in small rows, and many motorcycles in the 150CC have been equipped with water cooling systems.

  1. Motorcycle oil cooling radiators

Motorcycle oil-cooled radiators is oil-cooled by using the engine oil of the car to dissipate heat through the oil radiator.

Advantages: The heat dissipation effect is obviously low, and the low oil temperature can reduce the high temperature viscosity of the oil.

Disadvantages: There is a limit to the engine oil requirements. The oil radiator should not be too large. After the oil is too large, the oil will flood into the oil radiator and cause insufficient lubrication at the bottom of the engine.

Oil-cooling radiators is oil-cooling. It uses the engine oil of the car to dissipate heat through the oil radiator (the oil-cool radiator and the water tank are basically a thing principle, but one inside is oil and the other is water), because the oil-cooling cycle power comes from The oil pump of the engine, so oil cooling requires only one oil fan (tank). High-grade oil cooling will be equipped with a fan and a throttle.

The oil cooling system is generally equipped for the mid-end street car. It pursues stability and fan heat effect. The single-cylinder air-cooled car is more suitable for oil-cooling. The single-cylinder air-cooled car needs to add oil to the oil passage. The fan can be used.

How to distinguish whether it is oil cooling radiators or water cooling radiators?

First, the heat sink of the oil-cooled heat sink is very thick, and the heat sink of the water-cooled heat sink is very thin. The size of the oil-cooled heat sink is generally small, and the water-cooled heat sink has a large body shape. If your car has two types of radiators, look at the larger ones that are water-cooled radiators.

There is another important difference between the above, most of the water-cooled radiators have electronic fans behind them, and the oil-cooled radiators are basically not. (But the water tank radiators of some two-stroke cars do not use electronic fans).
